The first 45 years!
Spanning six decades, FJI’s work has helped us earn our reputation as steadfast advocates for underserved, disenfranchised, and vulnerable individuals and communities acrossFlorida. Throughout its history, FJI has achieved significant milestones:
- We collected over $8 million in recovery for victims of housing discrimination.
- We ensured over 4,000 incarcerated individuals received lifesaving treatments for Hepatitis C within the Department of Corrections and those with disabilities have equal access to communication and services.
- We secured a Consent Decree to prohibit the City of Miami from harassing people experiencing homelessness.
- We obtained settlements and reforms in cases of police misconduct and excessive force.
The next 45 years!
